Thus morning I had the opportunity to go to the pre k classroom and spend some time with the children. This was a lot of fun for me due to the fact that the pre k kids were easily my favorite group to be with at St. Mary's. When i got there i played with blocks and legos and we also played pirates. We then went on to sit around the carpet and sing rudolph the red nosed reindeer, and also a song in spanish! This was very surprising to me that the children already knew all of this. Reflecting back on the year i have had a very good time at St. Mary's and i hope all the best for the students who were a part of the after school program.

Today at St. Mary's the lab was a Christmas theme, which is by far my favorite holiday! during this lab my group and i were assigned to the equipment rooms. This was a very valuable lesson for me due to the fact that I have never done it before. It is also something that i will need to know in my future teaching experiences. We then went on to do the YMCA with the kids. They seemed to have enjoyed it very much! It is a sad thing to say but the semester is now coming to a close and there will not be any more time to spend with the kids at St. Mary's. All in all i thoroughly enjoyed myself this semester playing with and teaching all of the kids certain skills and games. This class was a valuable experience for me because it is the first step in field experience toward being a full time teacher.
Today at St. Mary's we had a Thanksgiving themed lab. It was a very enjoyable experience for my group and I due to the fact that we had a game planned and ready to go. The game focused on bouncing a ball, and kicking a ball. The game had the kids dribble the ball through an obstacle course which involved them walking over a mat and bending down to go under a fun noodle. After this portion of the game was finished we had the kids try to score a goal on Anthony and I by kicking. All in all it was a very fun lab and I'm looking forward to next week.
